Why am I getting the error "You are not an Admin or Editor of this account" when reauthorizing my Instagram account?
If you are encountering the error "You are not an Admin or Editor of this account" while reauthorizing your Instagram account, it is most likely due to missing permissions on Facebook's side or a lost connection between your Instagram and Facebook accounts.
Go to the Facebook Profile Settings > Business Integrations and search for or click on "publer.io".
Make sure you are logged in with your personal Facebook profile, not a Facebook page.
Click on Remove on the right side of the integration.
You can also click on View and Edit and in the popup, scroll down and click on "Remove".
This will simply make Publer lose access to the specific accounts, so you will have to re-authenticate the accounts once again. No posts or insights will be lost.
After completing that, try the failed action once more to see if it resolves the issue.
Double-check the connection between your Instagram account and Facebook Page. The Page may have been disconnected from Instagram, which could be causing the error. To do that:
Go to your Instagram profile on your mobile device and click Edit Profile.
Under Public Business Information, you will find the Page option.
If the Page appears as shown in the example above, it means the connection is working properly. However, if:
If nothing is displayed there, it means your Page has been disconnected from your Instagram account.
If you see an exclamation mark (!) next to the Page, it means there is an issue with the connection between your Instagram account and the Page. You may need to reconnect them or troubleshoot the issue to restore the connection.
Once you've confirmed the Page is properly connected, try reauthorizing your Instagram on Publer again.
Make sure your Instagram account is connected to a Facebook Page, NOT a personal Facebook profile.
If you are the account owner but are receiving the "You are not the admin or editor of the account" error, then this is most probably due to an issue with the connection between your Instagram account and the Facebook Page. Verifying the connection should help resolve the problem.
Make sure you do not have any warnings or pending verifications from Facebook. You can check if you need to Review Connection between Facebook and Instagram here.
Your Instagram account must be connected to a Facebook Page, NOT a personal Facebook profile.
If the issue persists, please contact us for further assistance.
