What are the different member roles and permission levels?
When you create a new Workspace on Publer, you are able to add multiple team members and assign specific roles and permission levels.
Editors
- "Full posting access" or "should be approved by Admin" access on the assigned social accounts (specified by the owner or an admin).
- Edit, delete & publish their own posts.
- View other members posts for the assigned social accounts.
- View insights for the assigned social accounts.
- Have access to all tabs on Publer, i.e. Create, Posts, Calendar, Media Library, RSS Feeds, Content, and Analytics.
- On the Media Library they can delete ONLY their own media.
Admins
All Editor’s permissions, plus:
- View, add, modify and remove editors.
- Add new social accounts to the workspace when specified by the Owner.
- Assign the social accounts they have access to, to other members.
- Modify settings for the assigned social accounts, such as Link in Bio, URL shorteners, UTM parameters, Watermarks, Signatures, Posting schedules, and so on.
- Approve posts for the assigned social accounts.
- Edit, delete & publish other member's posts for the assigned social accounts.
- Have access to all tabs on Publer, i.e. Create, Posts, Calendar, Media Library, RSS Feeds, Content, and Analytics.
- On the Media Library they can delete any media.
- Make Two-Factor Authentication required for Editors and Clients.
Clients
A Client can have many different privileges, which are specified by the Owner.
- They can add/remove social accounts.
- They can edit, create, and delete posts.
- They can approve posts for the assigned social accounts.
- Client with read-only access
- A Client with read-only access would only be able to see the posts and not create them.
- If specified by the Owner, they can also approve the posts for the assigned social account, but it's optional.
- In this case, the Client would still have read-only access to the posts, but be able to approve them.
- They will have access to only a few tabs, a dedicated view for them, i.e. Posts, Calendar, and Analytics.
- Client with posting access
- A Client with posting access would be able create, edit, publish, and delete posts.
- If specified by the Owner, they can also approve the posts for the assigned social account.
- They will have access to all tabs on Publer, i.e. Create, Posts, Calendar, Media Library, RSS Feeds, Content, and Analytics.
- Client with full access
- A client with full access would be able to edit, create, and delete the posts and add social accounts.
- Moreover, they are able to add their own social accounts and remove them. They will NOT be able to remove social accounts that they did not add to Publer.
- If specified by the Owner, they can also approve the posts for the assigned social account.
- They will have access to all tabs on Publer, i.e. Create, Posts, Calendar, Media Library, RSS Feeds, Content, and Analytics.
To sum up, a Client with full access would have the following privileges:
- Add new social accounts to the workspace.
- View, add, modify and remove posts.
- Approve/decline posts for the assigned social accounts.
- Edit, delete & publish other member's posts for the assigned social accounts.
- Have access to all tabs on Publer, i.e. Create, Posts, Calendar, Media Library, RSS Feeds, Content, and Analytics.
- On the Media Library they can delete ONLY their own media.
Owners
All Admin's and Editor’s permissions, plus:
- Edit workspace name & picture.
- View billing details.
- Add & delete social accounts.
- Add, modify, and remove Admins and Clients.
- Make Two-Factor Authentication required for everyone (Editors, Admins, and Clients).
- Have full access to all tabs on Publer.
